Paleo/AIP

Paleo and AIP are not the same in terms of the foods that are avoided, but they are very close, which is why they are grouped together here. AIP is a ‘stricter’ version of the Paleo diet, and is often the starting point, before moving to a Paleo diet, especially when dealing with an autoimmune condition.

Both Paleo and AIP exclude cereals, grains, legumes, refined sugar and processed vegetable oils. AIP also excludes nightshades, all dairy (allowed in moderation on Paleo), and allows only limited nuts, seeds and spices (though often these are also excluded at the beginning).

All recipes below are either Paleo/AIP by nature, or have a Paleo/AIP option.
